a culminating activity
Part A - Reflecting
1. Self - Reflect on the semester for you personally as a leadership student. Reflect and comment on successes, failures, disappointments, surprises etc.
2. School - Reflect on the semester for your school. Reflect on the successes, the failures, the positivity , the negativity and the surprises in the life of IDCI during the first semester
3. Society - Reflect on the past year in leadership (in the larger sense) .
a) Think of a positive example of leadership in society as a whole and discuss why you chose this as your example. Provide enough background information to make the situation and people involved understandable to someone unfamiliar with the context and relevant individuals.
b) Think of a negative example of leadership in society as a whole and discuss why you chose this as your example. Provide enough background information to make the situation and people involved understandable to someone unfamiliar with the context and relevant individuals.
Part B - Recommending
1. Self - set out a goal for yourself for the next semester; a goal for the next year; and a goal for the next five years. Explain what attributes you will need to achieve these goals and how you intend reaching them.
2. School - set out three realistic goals (including a timeline) for IDCI as a school community. Outline how the powers-that-be should go about achieving these goals.
3. Society - identify major issues
a) Identify a significant issue facing your local community today. Outline how you think the problem should be tackled and how the community would benefit as a result.
b) Identify a significant issue facing your larger world (province/nation/world). Outline how you think the problem should be tackled and how society would benefit as a result.
Format: negotiable
you will have two class days to work on it (probably Wed the 16th and Thur the 17th) and it should be ready to be presented to your classmates by Tuesday the 22nd
